| If you mention Arnhem Land to most Australians, the images conjured are of a timeless country full of water fowl, brimming watercourses, wild boar, Timorese ponies, giant saltwater crocodiles, buffalo and one of the greatest of all sports fish…Barramundi. The reality exceeds whatever could be imagined! Tropical Hunting Safaris specialise in personalised hunting for both experienced and novice hunters. Step back into dreamtime and experience Australia's last frontier, Arnhem Land. With Peter as a guide and your ATV as your ride, the magnificence of Arnhem Land opens up in front of you. You leave the eucalypt of the homestead and ride through a myriad of paperbark, palm jungles and tropical forest types. You will explore many billabong and river systems, beautiful scenic floodplains with an abundance of native bird life and awe inspiring panoramic views from the escarpments overlooking kilometers of breathtaking scenery. All our ATV’s are fully equipped and very manageable, even for the novice rider. We use the 4x4 ATV’s daily from base camp to explore the diversity of the terrain. Once we reach a specific location, we continue our hunt with a leisurely under-canopy walk amongst paperbark and tropical palm jungles – guaranteed to get the adrenalin pumping! The country is untouched and there is no peer pressure on any of the animals so it is often possible to stalk within metres of mobs of pigs and lone trophy boars in the 100 kilo plus range (View trophy images here). This is also ideally suited to bow hunters, photographers and video enthusiasts. Tropical Hunting Safaris is able to cater for parties of up to five people. Safaris are tailored to suit your needs and requirements. Our specialty 7-day package includes all meals, beverages, insurances, trophy fees, ATV’s and accommodation. During your hunting adventure you may also wish to experience the thrill of catching our world famous Barramundi. This is included in the 7-day package and is available upon request. To help top off all the fun and excitement of your hunting adventure, Tropical Hunting Safaris offers a fabulous take home video package all captured to DVD. (Prior arrangement is required) In the Northern Territory we have two seasons, a wet and a dry. Due to these weather constraints, the hunting is seasonal. Tropical Hunting Safaris operates from May to November (inclusive).
